Summary:The Doctorate in Engineering of EIA's objective is the formation of high level researchers who will propose solutions to social, economic and technological needs of the country through the generation of new knowledge. The National Ministry of Education approved two investigation lines for the doctorate program: * Health Technologies * Modeling and Simulation The Health Technologies line includes five research areas: * Biomechanics and rehabilitation engineering * Health Biotechnology * Biomaterials * Clinical Engineering * Bio-instrumentation and Signal Processing This new line of investigation in the doctorate program will aid in the formation of new researchers, which will enable the consolidation of the national science community with regard to topics related to Biomedical Engineering.
