Behavioral correlates of age-associated cognitive changes in dogs

Older dogs are at risk for developing a variety of age-related behavioral disorders. Research has found that the behavioral profile of older, cognitively impaired dogs is consistent with deficits in frontal lobe functioning, an area vulnerable to the effects of aging and cerebellar degeneration.
