Summary:Corresponding author's email: ramoskj@uw.edu Introduction: The Lung Allocation Score (LAS) was implemented in the United States in 2005 to maximize net benefit of lung transplantation (LTx) by integrating a patient's waitlist urgency and 1-year post-LTx survival. Mixed effects ANOVA was used to determine whether Region (11 total) and LTx Center (80 total) were associated with significant variability in the final LAS, adjusted for fixed and random effects of diagnosis (idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis (CF), and "other").
