Summary:Introduction: Pulmonary manifestations in Common Variable Immunodeficiency (CVID), the most common primary immunodeficiency, are common and include acute infections, airways disease (bronchitis, bronchiectasis, bronchiolitis), and interstitial lung disease (ILD). Laboratory analyses showed: microcytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, low IgA level with normal IgG and IgM levels (she received IVIG just prior to presentation), normal alpha-1 antitrypsin levels, and negative serologies for autoimmune diseases (ANA, dsDNA, Scl 70, RNP, SS-A, SS-B, Jo 1, Sm, RF, CCP, c-ANCA, p-ANCA, C3, C4), myeloproliferative diseases, tuberculosis, fungus, and HIV.
