Summary:A 71 year-old man with a history of Stage 4 Non-small cell lung carcinoma (squamous cell carcinoma) treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy, radiation, bi-lobectomy of the right middle and lower lobes and recent bronchial stent placement of the left mainstem bronchus presented to our clinic with complaints of new-onset productive cough with scant whitish sputum that worsened after eating. The patient was a poor candidate for surgical intervention and he refused aggressive management. [...]a multidisciplinary approach was pursued with esophageal stent placement by Gastroenterology, followed by bronchoscopic application of a fibrin-apoprotein solution/glue to seal the fistula.
