Summary:This study focuses on analysis of time series of observations of the climate system in order to have consistent information of variability and changes, over the medium and long term, of the atmosphere, ocean, cryosphere and land surface. The findings confirm the increases in CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere, warming of the atmosphere and the oceans, widespread melting of snow and ice and rising global average sea level. These results point to one very clear conclusion: the planet has warmed since the end of the 19th century and suggests that the observed climate changes remain dependent of human activity.
