Summary:The present article aims at analyzing the evolution of the state performance in exerting control over criminality considering technological advancements, in the sense that such technologies represent another way for the Estate to exert control over people's lives. Because of that, there is a larger exclusion of considered disadvantaged classes or those which pose a threat to social categories that dominate power. It is a kind of biopower as described by Michel Foucault in the sense of living and letting die according to dominant interests.
