Summary: | Conference Title: 2016 IEEE International Conference on Recent Trends in Electronics, Information & Communication Technology (RTEICT) Conference Start Date: 2016, May 20 Conference End Date: 2016, May 21 Conference Location: Bangalore, India A multiband printed Symmetrical Meander Line Antenna(MLA) is used as a radiating plate for Planar Inverted F Antenna (PIFA) contributing it as Symmetrical MLA-PIFA and the ground plane consist of a fractal metamaterial. Meander Line Antenna the size reduces by folding the antenna again and again as a result the efficiency of the antenna increases. Metamaterial have certain properties due to which the maximum wave travels back to the antenna. It enhances the frequency, return loss and gain. The antenna consist of size 20 × 40 × 1.57 mm3. Antenna radiates at 7GHz, 10GHz, 13.3GHz, 16GHz and 20GHz. It is etched on FR4 (Flame Retarded) substrate. HFSS has been employed to simulate the antenna. The proposed antenna possesses good properties. |
