Summary:ABSTRACT This article explains how Pedro Lemebel creates a transvestite imagery in his body of work, particularly in Loco afán, through a social and cultural vision within the artistic field and the sexual-generic frame. Because it comes from marginality, his writing generates new ideas and strategies to question the normalization and categorization that is imposed on homosexuality. The author gives these characters life beyond death, allowing their voices to be heard after they zähere silenced by the military dictatorship and AIDS. Por sus ideas y formas de expresión, Lemebel representa a la comunidad a la que pertenece, tanto en los programas radiales de los que participa como en la obra literaria que publica, sin embargo, y en sus propias palabras también "habla por su diferencia", no forma parte de ningún partido político o agrupación religiosa, y es su visión personal la que queda plasmada en sus escritos.
