Summary:The complexity of the atmospheric flow in the planetary boundary layer (PBL) is particularly increased at night. On nights withclear skies and light winds is common the suppression of the turbulence and its rise in a localized and intermittent way, in bothtime and space. The intermittent turbulence in the stable boundary layer (SBL) usually depends on thermal and mechanicalforcings that control the production and destruction of turbulence in the flow under these conditions. Thus, in this work, thesolutions of a simplified atmospheric model, that is able to reproduce the intermittent behavior of tubulência in CLE, will beanalyzed in terms of external parameters that have direct influence on the turbulence behavior in the nocturnal atmospheric flow. The analysis of the stability diagrams shows the presence of periodic regions immersed in regions with great complexity, that is afeature present in many chaotic dynamic systems.
