Summary:This publication is an attempt to assess the effectiveness of investment funds placement at Polish market in the years 2000-2013. The division into two following sub-periods: the years preceding the economic crisis, i.e. 2000-2006 and the years of the so-called crisis, i.e. 2007-2013 has been done. The approach was primarily to assess the effectiveness of investment funds during economic downturn. A multitude of quantitative assessment criteria allowed assessing the issue more accurately.
