Summary:This paper discusses how some concepts of pedagogy of multiliteracies are designed in the education area. The discussion is based on theories, in analyzes in research projects for undergraduates students and the vision of teachers participants in continuing education courses whose subject was the use of new digital technologies information and communication in Portuguese language classes. In summary, it is observed that the inclusion of technologies happens in most schools. The main problems are related to the adaptation of school infrastructure and preparation of teachers for effective use of technology. In contrast, the main advantages are developing innovative activities, accessibility of information, motivation, students' interest in the function of the dynamism of teaching strategies integrated into the classroom and, finally, the need for a aware of the ethics of new technologies for learning use.
