Summary:Knowledge management in small and medium enterprises-SMEs is the object of this study. With global economic changes organizations need to value their intangible assets to stay in business and be increasingly competitive. Articles and other scientific documents present some proposals for the application of knowledge management in organizations, but the KM solutions addressed to small and medium enterprises are not as numerous as the solutions for large companies, even with the indicators that much in the countries SMEs are most local enterprises. In Brazil it is no different national SMEs are most enterprises and need to adapt to market needs, seek a KM solution that fits Brazilian SMEs is the objective of this research.
