Summary:The burnout syndrome presents symptoms such as physical and emotional exhaustion, problems in interpersonal relationships and feelings of low personal effectiveness and productivity. Aiming to minimize workplace stress and inhibit the development of this syndrome, the quality of working life (QWL) emerges. In this sense, this article was developed to identify the relationship between QWL and burnout syndrome. The sample refers to a survey of 575 individuals. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and correspondence analysis. The main results make evident that professionals are more prone to develop the syndrome when dissatisfied with the programs of QVT.
