Summary: | The choir was made up of Bedford School Choral Society; Bel Canto - Bedford Girl's School; Bedford Preparatory School Senior Choir; Bedford Girls' School Transition Choir; and Pilgrim's Pre-Preparatory School Choir. Individual roles were mostly well projected although the large number of performers restricted any movement other than for younger soloists to step to the front line. Brough's direction brought great energy to the music and he had obviously gripped all the performers from the youngest Pre-Prep singers (aged about five and good as gold, singing beautifully their brief lines in the first half, then off to bed, in the tradition of the great opera houses!) to the sixth-formers. |
