Summary: | Higher Education is frequently seen as a one-way educational system where professors teach to students. In this paper, we propose a broader pedagogical model where students, professors, and business professionals participate in reciprocal learning. To illustrate this model, we discuss the development and implementation of a mentoring program where a "virtual mentor " is assigned to each student in a Management course. Survey results from students and mentors demonstrate that as students communicate with mentors via e-mail in the context of a structured course assignment, all participants experience reciprocal learning of management concepts. |
