Summary:The discussion about comprehensive production systems (CPS) has given operational reorganisation processes in German industry a new thrust: Companies are striving to blend existing and new modernising elements into an overall concept to avoid the problems of previous standalone solutions. Our paper focuses on the following question: What consequences does the introduction of CPS have for the constellation of interests between management, employees and employee representatives? Methodologically, our paper is based on indepth case studies and additional expert discussions.
