Summary: | The principal aim of this study is to present the findings obtained during theoretical and empirical investigations of the concept of cluster initiative oriented at innovative activities. Growing complexity of innovations requires cooperation between business entities. The entities not involved in close relationships with the environment rarely have necessary competencies and sufficient resources to allow them to implement innovative activities independently. Building competitive advantage often necessitates supplementation of abilities and knowledge with competencies or complementary resources that other market participants have. One of the opportunities to maintain competitiveness is to implement combined activities within cluster initiative. Consequently, the concept is focused on the common goal: faster and more effective creation of innovations. The empirical part of the study presents the results of the investigations concerning cooperation of enterprises in terms of innovative activities carried out within a cluster initiative. |
