Summary: | In the present article, a comparative study among different conservation techniques for anatomical specimens was performed in order to weigh their advantages and disadvantages in teaching human morphology, with a focus on practicality in countries like Colombia, where higher educational institutions face state funding issues. In the comparative study, a brief description of the procedure of each technique was given, taking into account the main materials required and costs, and space was dedicated to the applications that each of them have in pedagogy. To this end, various articles regarding the following conservation techniques were reviewed: Walther Thiel method, plastination, diaphanization and corrosion. |
