Summary:Under its new brand name HiPer-Mat 2012, the 3rd International Symposium on UHPC (Ultra-High Performance Concrete) took place in Kassel, Germany, from March 7-9. Organized by the research groups Structural Concrete (Prof. Ekkehard Fehling) and Structural Materials and Construction Chemistry (Prof. Michael Schmidt) at the University of Kassel, the conference provided an opportunity for over 260 scientists, engineers, users, and commercial vendors to exchange their knowledge and experience about UHPC and, more generally, nanotechnology in construction, and to present their most recent research.
