Summary:Because I anticipated singing it for only one Sunday, its lack of syncopation was a bonus. Because this would be our first encounter with the hymn, I wanted to ensure that everything would be sung in both Spanish and English.1 The original includes five stanzas plus the refrain, which is sung twice after each stanza. Because I had to typeset the music anyway, I could structure the song page exactiy as I would want the congregation to sing it. Because of the ease of the melody and the syllabic text, my impression is that nearly everybody sang the whole time.
