Summary: | Paradoxically, precisely in a world in which original structures are considered to be historically outdated, just 'fragments' of human history which the peoples themselves desire to transcend, the quest for identity is sought after without being reduced to this aspect in an absolutist way. Reality confirms the fact that national identity can and must be sought for within its matrix and archetype, without being accused of situating ourselves at the periphery of history. The European peoples' culture is a borderline one, in this vast cultural space that we are part of. The approach to our cultural specificity must not express and signify a closure within our spiritual inside, but our natural opening to new spaces or to the same geocultural spaces seen as bridges between different traditions and cultures, situated under the incidence of the same historical time.
