Comment on "A microbiological test for the diagnosis of death by drowningâ[euro] by A. Lucci and A. Cirnelli

By comparing drowning victims with a control group composed of subjects who died from causes unrelated to immersion, there is no proof that postmortem immersion of a body would not produce the same positive culture results by means including passive diffusion and/or contamination.
