청소년 사회자본과 학교중태생각의 관계

본 연구는 사회자본적 관점에서 청소년의 학교중퇴생각에 미치는 가족 및 학교 내 사회자본과 개인요인의 효과를 검증하는데 목적을 두고, 중학생과 고등학생사이에 어떠한 차이가 있는지를 분석했다. 이를 위해 ‘2015년 한국 아동‧청소년 인권실태조사’ 자료 중 중학생과 고등학생 자료 총 7,412명을 분석에 활용하였으며, 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 분석했다. 분석결과에 의하면, 첫째, 전체 조사대상 청소년의 30.7%, 일반고 학생들의 40.8%, 특성화고의 28.1%, 중학생의 22.4%가 최근 1년 이내에 학교중퇴생각을 한 것으로 조사되었다. 둘째, 고등학생은 중학생에 비해 학교사회자본 요인정도가 유의미하게 낮았다. 셋째, 가정 내 사회자본은 중학생의 학교중퇴생각에는 유의미한 효과가 있었지만 고등학생에게는 효과가 없었다. 학교 내 사회자본 중 학교교육에 대한 신뢰와 학생기본권존중 정도는 중학생과 고등학생 모두의 중퇴생각에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구는 이러한 분석결과를 토대로 실질적 개입방안과 후속연구를 위한 과제를 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of family and school social capital and individual factors on school dropout ideation among adolescents. In addition, this study investigated the differences between middle school and high school students. A total 7,412 adolescent data from ‘2015 Korean Children and Youth Human Rights Survey’ were used for the study. The main findings are as follows: First, 30.7% of overall survey subjects, 40.8% of general high school students, 28.1% of specialized high school students, and 22.4% of middle school students reported the experience of dropout ideation in the last year. Secondly, high school students had lower levels of school social capital than middle school students. Finally, although family social capital had statistically significant effects on the dropout ideation among middle school students, it did not affect the dropout ideation of high school students. School social capital factors, trust in school education and guarantee for student basic rights, were significant influences on dropout ideation of all middle and high school students. The results of this study suggest some implications for practical intervention and further study on the relation between social capital and school dropout ideation. KCI Citation Count: 1
