Summary: | In this paper, The elderly residents' welfare facilities in foreign countries are focused on. Elderly peoplewho are eligible for National Basic Livelihood Security are entitled to have protection by being admitted toa free nursing home. In addition, elderly people who are not eligible for receiving eligibility can beprotected by entering into a social facility or a paid facility depending on their economic ability.
The following suggestions can be drawn from the comparative analysis of the welfare support policies ofthe elderly living in the US, UK and Japan.
In Korea, it is necessary to provide policy support to the elderly in order to support the elderly. It shouldbe done together with the provision of support programs such as life counseling, security check, andemergency protection. KCI Citation Count: 1 |
