정당의 위기관리 커뮤니케이션 전략과 언론 보도 프레임에 대한 연구: 통합진보당 비례대표 경선부정 사건을 중심으로

본 연구는 통합진보당의 비례대표 경선부정 사건에 대한 각 정당의 대응 방식을 위기관리 커뮤니케이션 전략의 관점에서 살펴보고 통합진보당이 활용한 위기관리 전략의 적절성에 대해서 분석하였다. 더 나아가 각 정당이 사용했던 차별적 전략들이 언론 보도 프레임을 통해서 어떤 방식으로 다르게 강조되는지 고찰하였다. 분석 결과, 경선부정에 대한 의혹이 제기되자마자 통합진보당은 수정 및 사과 전략의 적절한 대응을 하였다. 하지만 이후에 당권파와 비당권파 간에 나타난 이미지 회복 전략의 불일치와 계파 간의 갈등은 위기를 극복하는데 오히려 방해가 되었다고 할 수 있다. 언론사의 보도 프레임을 분석한 결과, 조선일보는 통합진보당의 도덕성과 이념적 정체성을 문제 삼는 프레임을 집중적으로 활용하였다. 반면에 한겨레신문은 당내에서 벌어진 분열 및 갈등이나 정당에 대한 책임 귀인, 수습과 혁신에 대해 중점적으로 보도하였다. In this study, we explore the crisis management communication strategy which looked into the method of reaction of each political party related to the proportional representation illegal election in the Unified Progressive Party. We then examine whether the discriminative communication strategies which each political party used were differently emphasized as any kind of way by news framing. The results indicate that the Unified Progressive Party performed proper reaction such as corrective action and mortification immediately after the suspicion of illegal election had emerged. However, the inconsistency of image restoration strategies and conflicts between two opposite factions in the Unified Progressive Party rather prevented to overcome the crisis. The analysis of news framing shows that Chosun newspaper focused on the Unified Progressive Party’s immorality and the problem of ideological identity. On the other hand, Hankyoreh newspaper emphasized conflicts in the party, responsibility attribution to the party, and reforming the party. KCI Citation Count: 5
