This study shows how Investec Asset Management (Investec), a distinctive specialist bank and asset manager of the Republic of South Africa, has globalized its financial services over the past few decades. Secured a banking license in 1980, Investec group was first listed on the JSE Securities Exchange in South Africa in 1986. In July 2002, Investec group became the first South African company to list on both the London and Johannesburg stock exchanges by implementing a dual listed companies structure. Investec operates primarily in South Africa, the United Kingdom, Australia and Ireland with banking operations in Switzerland, Hong Kong and the United States. Investec has expanded through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions. Furthermore, by socially responsible investment, corporate social responsibilities, aggressive international expansion and also by sophisticated risk management, Investec is considered to have achieved considerable international success.This study attempts to expand the extant literature and provide practical implications on the globalization of Korean asset management companies KCI Citation Count: 0
