마약류 수형자의 인지적･정서적 재범 촉발 특성 -Colaizzi의 현상학적 연구접근

본 연구는 교정시설 내 마약류 수형자의 인지적･정서적 특성을 심리학적 관점에서분석하고 재범 촉발 요인을 탐색하여 효과적인 재활치료 프로그램 개발을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 마약류 수형자 8명을 대상으로 1:1 심층면담을 실시하고, 면담 내용을 Colaizzi의 현상학적 연구 방법을 적용하여 마약류 수형자들의 실제 경험을 세밀히 검토하였다. 분석 결과 마약류 사용과 관련하여 단약 결심과 유지에 관한 사고 및 정서, 재발의원인에 대한 사고 및 정서, 최초 재투약 시 사고 및 정서, 재투약 이후 사고 및 정서등 총 4개의 범주로 나타났고, 이것은 21개의 주제 결집과 36개의 주제 분리 등으로분석되었다. 범주별 내용을 보면 단약 결심과 유지에 관한 사고 및 정서에서는 평범하고 안정된삶에 대한 갈망, 약물 사용으로 죽음의 가능성에 대한 공포감, 반복되는 수형생활에 대한 두려움 등 이고, 재발의 원인에 대한 사고 및 정서에서는 중독에 대한 몰이해와자기 과신, 부정적 감정을 회피하려는 심리, 성생활을 위한 약물 사용의 정당화 등이나타났다. 최초 재투약 시 사고 및 정서에서는 투약을 하지 않으려는 이성적 저항, 현실을 왜곡하는 자기 설득, 약을 사용한 직후의 즉각적인 후회 등이, 재투약 이후 사고및 정서에서는 모든 노력이 무너졌다는 좌절감, 재발 사실을 인정하는데 따른 내적 갈등, 재투약 이후 변화된 현실에 대한 인식 등이 나타났다. 이러한 내용을 근거로 향후 마약류 수형자를 대상으로 하는 프로그램에서 초점을두어야 하는 주제를 제안하였다. 특히 재발 방지에서 집중적으로 검토하고 다루어야하는 마약류 사범의 인지적･정서적 특징을 제시하여, 보다 효과적인 개입 방안 마련을위한 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the cognitive and emotional characteristics of drug prisoners in correctional facilities from a psychological point of view and to explore the factors that trigger recidivism to provide basic data for effective rehabilitation treatment programs. To this end, 1:1 in-depth interviews were conducted with 8 drug prisoners, and the actual experiences of drug prisoners were reviewed in detail by applying Colaizzi’s phenomenological research method to the interview contents. As a result of the analysis, there were four categories related to drug use: thoughts and emotions of discontinuation drugs determination and maintenance, thoughts and emotions about the cause of recurrence, thoughts and emotions at the time of first re-drugs, and thoughts and emotions after re-drugs, It was analyzed in 21 major themes and 36 sub-themes. According to the category, the desire for a normal and stable life, the fear of death from drug use, and the fear of repeated life in prison are found in the category: thoughts and emotions of discontinuation drugs determination and maintenance, also a lack of understanding addiction, overconfidence, psychology to avoid negative emotions, and justification of drug use for sex life are found in the category: thoughts and emotions of the cause of recurrence. Rational resistance against drug, self-Deception distorting actualities, and immediate remorse after drug use are found in the category: thoughts and emotions at the time of first re-drugs, and also the frustration that all the hard work has fallen, an internal conflict in acknowledging a recurrence, and awareness of the reality that has changed since the re-drugs are found in the category: thoughts and emotions after re-drugs. Based on these contents, a topic that should be focused on in future programs targeting drug prisoners was proposed. In particular, it is expected that it can be used as basic data for preparing more effective intervention measures by presenting the cognitive and emotional characteristics of drug offenders that must be intensively reviewed and dealt with in preventing recurrence.
