맞벌이 부부의 소득 격차가 가사노동시간 격차에 미치는 영향 : 상대적 자원 이론을 중심으로

· 연구 주제: 맞벌이 부부의 소득격차가 가사노동시간 격차에 미치는 영향-상대적 자원 이론을 중심으로· 연구 배경: 본 연구는 출산율 제고를 위한 방안 중 하나로 부부 간 가사노동시간 격차를 완화할 필요가 있다고 보고 성별 가사노동시간 불평등을 면밀히 살펴보고자 하였다. · 선행연구와의 차이점: 선행연구는 주로 부부 각자의 절대적 소득 수준과 가사노동 시간 간의 관계에 초점을 맞춘 반면, 본 연구는 맞벌이 부부 간 상대적 소득 격차와 이에 따른 가사노동 시간 격차에 주목하였다. · 연구방법: 2022년 여성가족패널을 활용하여 맞벌이 부부의 소득 격차가 가사노동시간 격차에 미치는 영향을 위계적회귀모형으로 분석하였다(N=2,249). · 연구결과: 첫째, 여성과 남성의 소득 격차가 커질수록 부부 간 가사노동시간 격차가 유의미하게 커졌다. 둘째, 여성과 남성의 근로시간이 가사노동시간 격차에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 이 때 여성의 근로시간은 길어질수록 부부 간 가사노동시간 격차가 작아진 반면, 남성의 근로시간은 길어질수록 부부 간 가사노동시간 격차가 커졌다. 셋째, 미취학 및 취학 자녀 수가 증가할수록 부부 간 가사노동시간 격차가 유의미하게 커졌다. · 공헌점 및 기대효과: 본 연구는 부부 간 가사노동시간 불평등에 대한 논의와 함께 일-가정 양립을 위한 가족, 기업, 사회에서의 역할과 개선방향을 제안하였다. 이는 부부 간 가사노동시간 불평등 완화를 위한 사회적 기반 마련에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. · Research topics: The Impact of Income Disparities on Housework Time Gaps Among Dual-Earner Couples-Focusing on the Relative Resource Theory · Research background: This study aimed to examine the factors affecting the inequality of housework hours by gender as one of the measures to increase the birth rate. · Differences from prior research: Previous studies mainly focused on the relationship between the absolute income level of each couple and housework hours, while this study focused on the relative income gap between dual-income couples and the resulting gap in housework hours. · Research method: Using the 2022 Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Families(KLoWF), this study employed hierarchical regression analysis to examine the impact of income disparities among dual-earner couples on housework time gaps(N=2,249). · Research results: First, as the income gap between men and women increased, the housework time gap between couples significantly widened. Second, both women's and men's working hours had a significant impact on the housework time gap. Specifically, as women's working hours increased, the housework time gap between couples narrowed, while as men's working hours increased, the gap widened. Third, as the number of preschool and school-aged children increased, the housework time gap between couples significantly widened. · Contribution points and expected effects: This study suggests various improvements in family, corporate, and social policies to promote work-family balance, alongside discussions on the inequality of housework time between spouses.
