지방도시 소멸위기에 대응하기 위한 대학의 역할 재고(再考) : 일본 사례연구 중심으로

· 연구 주제: 지방도시의 소멸에 대응하기 위해 대학과 지방도시의 역할을 일본의 사례분석을 통해 재조명하고, 대학의 역할을 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. · 연구 배경: 우리나라 지방도시가 인구감소, 고령화, 경제기반 약화 등의 원인으로 겪고 있는 소멸위기를 일본의 대학협력 사례분석을 통해 지역대학의 역할을 재조명하여 해결방안을 제시해 보고자 한다. · 선행연구와의 차이점: 기존연구가 특정 지역이나 개별 프로그램에 한정되어 수행된 것과 달리, 이 연구는 일본의 4개 열도(혼슈,훗카이도,시코쿠,규슈)에서 각각 우수사례를 선정하여 고유한 협력방안을 분석하고, 이를 통해 지역사회와 대학의 보다 합리적이고 현실적인 원리를 도출하려고 한다. · 연구방법: 일본 4개 지역의 우수협력 사례를 면밀히 분석하고 우리나라에 적용할 수 있는 산업, 경제, 문화 등 지역-대학간의 협력방안을 개발, 제시하고자 한다. · 연구결과: 지역-산업-대학간의 협력을 통한 지역 소멸위기 문제에 대한 해결방안과 지속가능한 모델을 제시한다. · 공헌점 및 기대효과: 이 연구에서는 우리나라 지-산-학간 협력모델 구축을 위한 기초정보를 제공하여, 협력모델의 설계 및 실행에 필요한 정책적 제안을 제시한다. Research topics: The aim of this study is to re-examine the role of universities and local cities, based on the insights gained from analyzing the case of Japan, and to identify the role of universities in addressing the disappearance of local cities. Research background: Through the analysis of Japan's responses to the crisis of local city extinction, which Japan has experienced first due to population decline, aging, and weakening economic foundations, this study seeks to re-evaluate the issue of local city extinction in South Korea and the role of regional universities, while exploring potential solutions. Differences from prior research: Unlike previous studies that were limited to specific regions or individual programs, this research selects best practices from each of Japan's four main archipelagos (Honshu, Hokkaido, Shikoku, and Kyushu), analyzes their unique cooperation methods, and thereby seeks to derive more rational and realistic principles for community-university collaboration. Research method: By closely analyzing the cases of university-regional cooperation in four regions of Japan, this study presents region-university cooperation strategies in areas such as industry, economy, and culture that can be applied to the case of Korea. Research results : This study presents a solution to the problem of regional extinction crisis and a sustainable model through mutual cooperation between regions, industries, and universities. Contribution points and expected effects: This study provides basic foundations for establishing a cooperation model among local governments, universities, and industries in Korea, and suggests necessary policy for designing and implementing the cooperation model.
