해외 저학년 음악과 교육과정 분석을 통한 2022 개정 즐거운 생활 고찰 및 향후 과제

본 연구는 해외 저학년 음악과 교육과정 분석을 통해 저학년 음악교육을 유형화하고 2022 개정 즐거운 생활과 교육과정을 고찰함으로써 더 나은 저학년 음악교육을 위해 향후 과제를 제시하는 데 목적을 두었다. 먼저, 국내외 음악 교육학자들의 저학년 음악교육에 대한 견해를 살펴보고 이를 통해 저학년 음악교육의 의의 및 특징을 도출하였다. 다음으로는 해외 4대륙 10개국의 저학년 음악과 교육과정을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 해외 저학년 음악교육을 ‘통합교과로서 통합 운영형, 예술 교과군으로서 예술 교육과정 내 음악 분리 운영형, 독립 교과로서 독립 운영형’의 3가지로 유형화하고 각 특징을 도출하였다. 이를 토대로 2022 개정 즐거운 생활과 교육과정을 통합적 관점과 분리적 관점에서 고찰한 결과, 다음과 같은 향후 과제를 얻을 수 있었다. 저학년 음악교육을 통합적 관점에서 운영할 경우, 첫째, 저학년 수준에서 음악 탐구 관련 연구가 필요하다. 둘째, 예술통합 활동에서 음악의 특성이 드러나는 주제와 활동 제시 방법이 필요하다. 분리적 관점에서 운영할 경우, 첫째, 예술교육의 관계 속에서 저학년의 발달 단계에 음악의 역할 및 지향점에 대한 기준이 필요하다. 둘째, 저학년 수준의 음악요소 및 개념 제시가 필요하다. 이 연구를 바탕으로 저학년 수준과 발달 단계에 맞는 음악교육이 이루어지기를 기대한다. The purpose of this study is to categorize music education at the early grades through an analysis of the current status of overseas music curriculum at the lower grades and to propose tasks for the normalization of music education at the early grades in the future, with consideration of the 2022 revised ‘pleasant life’ curriculum. To this end, the perspectives of both domestic and international music educators were examined, highlighting the importance and key characteristics of music education in early grades. The study further explores the current music curriculum in ten countries across four continents. Based on this analysis, early music education was classified into three categories: integrated within a general subject, incorporated as part of the arts curriculum, and treated as an independent subject. The distinct characteristics of each approach were identified and examined in relation to the 2022 revised ‘pleasant life’ curriculum, from both integrated and separate perspectives. Several key tasks for the future were proposed. First, further research is required to research on music exploration at the elementary level. Secondly, there is a need for suggested topics and activities that highlight the characteristics of music within arts integration activities. From a separate subject perspective, clear standards are needed to define the role and developmental significance of music within early education. Additionally, the presentation of foundational musical elements and concepts in early school years should be addressed. KCI Citation Count: 0
