이미지 생성 AI를 활용한 미디어아트에 관한 연구

최근 이미지 생성 AI 기술이 예술 창작 분야에서 확장되어 복잡한 알고리즘과 데이터를 기반으로 하여 독특하고 예측 불가능한 예술작품이 대중들에게 널리 알려지고 있다. 이미지 생성 AI 기술이 친화적인 사용자인터페이스를 통하여 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 변화하여 이 기술을 활용한 예술이 증가하고 있다. 이미지 생성 AI는 기술과 예술, 미디어아트라는 영역으로 새로운 예술 표현 양식을 보여주고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이미지 생성 AI 대한 정의와 특징을 살펴보고 작품을 분석하여 이미지 생성 AI를 활용한 미디어아트에 대한 새로운 시각을 정립하고자 한다. 첫 번째, 이미지 생성 AI 모델의 이미지 생성원리와 특징에 관하여 연구한다. 두 번째, 이미지 생성 AI 예술작품을 선정하여 분석 방법 및 범위를 설정하여 분석한다. 세 번째, 이미지 생성 AI를 활용한 미디어아트를 예술의 형식으로 분류하고 발전 방향성에 대한 기대효과와 한계점을 논한다. 본 논문이 AI 기술이 예술 창작에 미치는 새로운 시대적 흐름 속에서 예술과 기술의 융합한 작품제작에 기여할 것으로 기대한다. Recently, image-generation AI technology has been expanded in the field of art creation, and unique and unpredictable works of art are widely known to the public based on complex algorithms and data. In particular, image generation, which required professional knowledge in the past, is possible to generate high-quality images through a user-friendly interface, and the use of art works using image-generation artificial intelligence is expanding in many ways. Therefore, this paper aims to provide a new perspective on the convergence of technology and art for the purpose of case analysis and consideration of art works using image-generation artificial intelligence (AI). First, by exploring the image generation principles and characteristics of image-generating AI models we study how AI learns complex visual elements and creates creative and original works of art through them. Second, by selecting popular image-generating AI works of art, we set the analysis method and scope for selected art works, and through this, we analyze cases of artistic use of AI in depth. Third, based on the points to be considered in the field of art creation of image-generation AI art, the expected effects and limitations that this technology can continue to develop in the field of art are discussed. This is expected to contribute to promoting creative dialogue that crosses the boundaries between art and technology by exploring the impact and possibilities of AI technology in the new trend of convergence between artificial intelligence and art.
