광복 후 부산부립도서관의 변화에 관한 고찰

본 연구는 광복 후 부산부립도서관의 변화에 관해 도서관 이전과 명칭, 공간을 중심으로 1960년대까지를 고찰하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 도서관 발간 자료, 지도, 신문 등 방증자료를 찾아 비교․대조하거나 관련 전문가 면담을 하였다. 연구의 결과 부산부립도서관은 1919∼1947년 동안 용두산에 있었고, 1947∼1949년 동안 동광동에 있었다. 도서관 명칭은 행정체계가 1949년 8월 15일 부제에서 시제로 시행되면서 부산시립도서관으로 변경되었다. 이후 부산시는 1963년 직할시 승격의 첫 사업으로 시민들의 요구와 부산의 중심축이 원도심에서 부산진구(서면)으로 옮겨지고 있던 시기를 고려하여 부전동에 시립도서관을 신축하였다. 현재 시립도서관은 국내 공공도서관 목적용 건축물 중 가장 오랜 공공도서관 건축물로 부산진구 부전동에 남아있다. This study attempted to consider the relocation, name and space transition of the <Busan Prefectural Library> from the National Liberation of Korea to the 1960s. To this end, evidence materials such as library publication materials, maps and newspapers were found, compared and contrasted, or interviewed with related experts. As a result of the study, <Busan Prefectural Library> was Yongdusan in 1919∼1947 and Dong- gwang-dong in 1947∼1949. The name was changed to <Busan City Library> when the administrative system was implemented from the Prefecture to the City on August 15, 1949. Since then, the Busan city Government built a new library in Bujeon-dong to reflect citizens’ needs as the first project to be promoted to a direct city in 1963. The site of the new library was built in Bujeon-dong because the central axis of Busan was being moved from the original city to Busanjin-gu (Seo-myeon). Currently, the City Library remains in Bujeon-dong, Busanjin-gu as the oldest public library building among the public library buildings in Korea. KCI Citation Count: 0
