Summary:Examination for oral cavity is useful to detect early oral cancer, but there is little effective detecting system that any dentists can easily access. In 2008, we, started a system, called OCDSIN (Oral Cancer Detecting System Ichikawa Network), could support dentists in practicing oral cancer examination in their dental offices, and this system has screened a person who suffered from early oral cancer in about 100 cases. Thin Prep(R), liquid based cytology system, gives dentists stress free operation. Public oral cancer examination in Ichikawa city, starting with 2009, adopts techniques based on OCDSIN, including Thin Prep(R).
