Summary:The committee on the Japanese glossary of genetics has been established in 2009 to re-examine the terminology in the genetics studies and edit the up-to-data glossary which is suited to the new age researches. We have picked up fundamental technical terms in genetics study with focusing on the primary education of genetics in high schools and colleges. And then, we examined about equivalent terms in Japanese in the small working group. In this report we would like to talk about some topics abut problematic Japanese translations such as dominant to "yu-sei" and recessive to "ressei", and report the progress of the investigation about terminology in the committee toward the editing of the Japanese glossary.
