Summary:In Japan, Tricholoma matsutake is symbiotic relationship with Pinus densiflora was largely known. Although, in the eastern part of Hokkaido such as Mt. Meakandake of Kushiro City, T. matsutake are symbiotic relationship with Picea glehnii, Abies sachalinensis and Pinuspumila. Those fruit body of T. matsutake in eastern part of Hokkaido are almost similar with T. matsutake of host tree as Pinus densiflora. Pinus densiflor, Picea glehnii, Abies sachalinensis are tall tree and leaf in bundles of two. Especially, Pinus pumila is shrub and leaf bundles of five, which ranges naturally in a peculiar place as the volcanic region. For examine the classification and the relationship between T. matsutake and pine, five kind of matsutake and five species of pines were extracted genomic DNA, and identified sequences of internal transcribed spacer (ITS) region. As a result, ITS sequences among examined pines show little homology (20.0%~64.0%). On the other hand, ITS sequences of T. matsutake show 100% homology between host trees as Pinus densiflora, Picea glehnii and A. sachalinensis. But, T. matsutake of Canada and Tricholoma robustum were 95.0% and 84.7% homology.
