Summary:I fortunately had the opportunity to take part in the Summer Session 2011 at Harvard School of Public Health. The Summer Session provides the same academically rigorous courses offered to degree candidates during the regular academic year, only shortened from 8 to 3 wk and meeting daily. The courses are very fast-paced, intense, and require the full participation of the student and cover both the Summer 1 and Summer 2 sessions. Qualified students may apply to a degree program at the Harvard School of Public Health. Students who are accepted can apply their summer credits to a Master of Public Health degree. Students in the Summer-Only MPH Program can take up to 15 credits in each summer and also need to return for second or third summer to complete the 42.5 credits needed for graduation. In sum, it will take typically three years for this course completion. However, not during the whole academic year, it will be one beneficial option for those who pursue MPH degree effectively and efficiently in summer-only period.
