Summary: | The biochemical studies has been done in reactive proliferative gliosis tissues after slashed onto one side of frontal lobe of rat brain. The present paper was studied about neurochemical specificity, especially activities of lysosomal enzymes, and electromicroscopic changes in this injured rat brain. These results were demonstrated as following: 1) Activities of lysosomal enzymes, especially β-glucuronidase and acid-phosphatase were higher in injured brain tissue than in normal brain tissue. And also 3 months after operation, both enzymes activities were higher in gliosis compared with the control. 2) On the contrary, enzymeactivities of Lactic dehydrogenase and Malic dehydrogenase were lower in gliosis than in normal tissues. 3) The electromicroscopic studies were demonstrated a degeneration or disapperance of neurons and swelling of astrocytic endfeets in this injured brain tissues. And one month after preration, reactive glial cells already increased in glial cytoplasma. These enzymatic and morphological specificities of reactive proliferative gliosis tissues might be related to some functional disorders in post-injured brain. |
