방사성요오드 치료를 시행한 설갑상선

저자 등은 연하곤란과 인후통을 주소로 내원한 50세 여자 환자에서 조직검사 및 (131)I 스캔으로 설갑상선을 확진하고 특별한 합병증의 발생 없이 방사성요오드 치료를 시행한 설갑상선 1예를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. A lingual thyroid is a rare developmental anomaly caused by the failure of the descent of the thyroid gland anlage early in the course of embryogenesis. The incidence of lingual thyroid has been reported to be 1/100,000. Lingual thyroid is often asymptomatic but may cause dysphagia, dysphonia, upper airway obstruction and hemorrhage. In this report, we described the case of a 50-year-old women experiencing lingual thyroid who had subclinical hypothyroidism. She underwent successful (131)I ablation and has done well on thyroid hormone replacement therapy. (Endocrinol Metab 27:303-307, 2012)
