Summary:The object of this study was to evaluate the distributions of hemagglutination-inhibition antibodies for Reovirus in the serums of 510 persons for the first time in Korea. 1. In the group of age 1-10 and age 11-20, positive rates were 43.1% and 75%, respectivery. 2. But in the group of age 21-30, 34% were positive. 3. Highest positive rate (80.3%) was observed in the group of age 31-40, the other groups above that age showed still high positive rate (about 70%) 4. There was no sex differernce. The above findings reveal the evidence that Reovirus is widely distributed and causes infections in nature with high frequency in Korea.
