Summary: | One hundred and fifty eight children between the ages of 6 and 11 in residential treatment were assessed using measures designed to study their everyday problem behaviors as well as their sexual behaviors. The frequency of natural and expectable sexual behaviors is given, as well as a description of more problematic sexual behaviors. The relationship between everyday problem behaviors and the childrens' rating on a scale to measure sexual functioning is described. Suggestions for training and supervision of child care workers and all residential staff regarding children's sexual problems are included. |
