Summary: | In the Local Sustainability Project change programmes, the role of the prophet was taken by independent individuals whose country is the planet and who draw on all the dimensions of their minds. Most of the individuals had favoured entry points to their thinking, usually the physical and social dimensions of their lives. Individuals who focus only on their own mind and their own interest have been disastrous for themselves and their communities. The history of dominance of physical over other ways of thinking has led to considerable confusion between brain and mind. As well as drawing on theoretical ideas, there are practical ways to consider the relationships between the multiple dimensions of our minds. Civil wars, extreme weather events, degraded water supplies and food insecurity are the outcomes of human actions that can only be resolved by wiser action from individuals using all of their minds. |
