Summary:In this paper the use of polarimetric interferometric SAR data for extracting vegetation parameters is studied. For this purpose an inversion algorithm is performed with indoor polarimetric interferometric SAR measurements by applying a simplified scattering model. The performance of the inversion algorithm is investigated by varying the carrier frequency of the PolInSAR system used to acquire the measurement data and by varying the polarimetric base. The results are presented and analyzed concerning the feasibility of the extracted parameters. Additionally sensitivity analysis of the algorithm are undertaken to investigate the stability of the output parameters with respect to initial conditions and inversion progression.
