Generation and interaction of parabolic pulses in high gain fiber amplifiers and oscillators

Parabolic pulses are generated from ultrashort pulse amplification in a high gain normal dispersion fiber amplifier. The pulses are robust against interactions and collisions and can be conveniently generated in a fiber laser configuration.
