Summary: | The paper provides analysis of load modes for electric drives of horizontal rolls installed at the continuous train of the wide-strip hot rolling mill. It adduces results of experimental investigations of load distributions across the stands at rolling thick strips at the 2,000 mm rolling mill of OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (OAO MKК). When rolling hollow billet, loads are distributed non-uniformly; at this, motor currents exceed nominal values. The paper substantiates development of the refined methods for calculation of the roll pressure and mill torque. It offers dependencies providing improved accuracy of calculation of these parameters at significant deformation zones. The authors proposes an algorithm, based on which the software for analysis of load modes has been developed. Results obtained at calculations with the known and developed methods have been compared. Performance of the proposed computing methods has been proved experimentally. |
