Summary: | Testing is one of the most time-consuming phases of the software development cycle and this is not different in the mobile software domain. In fact, small input mechanisms, dependence to wireless network configurations and complex navigations create a very stressful and prone to errors test environment. This paper presents additional modules that were specified to a test management tool, which extend its abilities in terms of automation, intelligent control and statistical metrics manipulation. We compare this approach to other efforts from the software engineering community and stress the gains in our test process. A list of learned lessons was also consolidated to share important points of this experience. |
