Summary:This paper deals with a possibility to generate shock waves by a multispark electric discharge in a liquid. This discharge causes the generation of multiple plasma foci (hearthes) located above one electrode surface being external relative to the interelectrode space and exposed by radiation of shock-acoustic waves. The surface shape may be given. The resistive load is computer simulated. The novelty of this idea and the occurrence of a demand for the identical equipment count in favour of this work advisability. According to unique developments, a shock wave generator is constructed and its tests and optimization experiments are performed.
