Comparative study of various analytical criteria for the estimation of stability limits

This article compares the precision of the values of limits obtained from the signal energy of various electrical quantities such as frequency, phase angle, active and reactive power, besides the voltage modulus, at different places on a validated model of the Hydro-Quebec 1991 network. Summary:This article compares the precision of the values of limits obtained from the signal energy of various electrical quantities such as frequency, phase angle, active and reactive power, besides the voltage modulus, at different places on a validated model of the Hydro-Quebec 1991 network. It is concluded that the signal energy of the voltage modulus gives a better estimate of the transit limits than the other electric variables.
