Summary: | MR material is widely used in aerospace engineering for its porosity and dry friction damping characteristics. The paper studied theoretically and experimentally the damping characteristics of metal rubber damper used in the flexible supporting of turbo-pump rotor of aircraft engine. It investigated the method for calculating damping coefficient and stiffness of the damper loaded with an external rotary force.
