Room temperature laser performance of Nd:Y/sub 2/O/sub 3/ at 914 nm

We will report the first ever lasing of Nd:yttria at 914 nm with room temperature operation. The importance of Nd:yttria to the atmospherics science community will be described along with the performance of the Nd:yttria laser at 914 nm and 1073 nm.
